I currently work at SPCSHP (previously Big Spaceship) as a Sr. Art Director on Dairy Queen. We’re in the midst of launching their rebrand - stay tuned.
Prior to that, I spent 2+ years on Starbucks creating campaigns to launch seasonal beverages. Whether it was heritage drinks, like the PSL, or new creations, like the Lavender Matcha Latte, a cup of coffee is never just a cup of coffee—it’s a morning ritual, a mid-afternoon escape, or a moment of connection. Also, 80% of people drink iced coffee all year round, including winter…so no.. you’re not alone.
I freelanced during the pandemic. I worked at Matte Projects as the Art Director for the Diamond Producer’s Association (DPA), leading the brand’s Real is a Diamond campaign. Then I bopped around, working on the Kroger account at 360i, Piercing Pagoda at Red Antler, and Verizon at McCann. I was busy.
I worked at Laundry Service for a long time (for a millennial). I ‘started from the bottom’ as a Jr Graphic Designer and grew to be an Art Director. I’ve led creative on Papa John’s, Fossil, Bud Light, and European Wax Center to name a few. It got me lots of free pizza, a watch, some beer, a wax pass, and a ton of late nights. Also the opportunity to work with some pretty cool people.
I freelanced for Douglas Elliman as the lead designer for the Excelsior Program, which rewarded their top tier brokers (like the ones on Million Dollar Listing) with personal identities/branding. Made tons of logos. Designed listing pages and property brochures for luxury apartments. Mastered the baseline grid.
I worked at Digitas New York. I was an account manager for a year (don’t tell anyone). Not time wasted though…I worked on Small Business Saturday. It won a lot of awards. I worked closely with my creative team/wanted to be one of them. I also learned how to manage client relations, present work, write a good email, and memorize a conference call pin.
I interned at 360i New York where I was tasked with coming up with all the ways one could possibly turn an Oreo into social content. At the time, Oreo was the first brand to participate in #socialholidays, which was pretty cool. Not so fun fact: the Double Stuf Oreo is pretty much a lie - it only has 1.86 times more ‘stuf.’
I went to Harriton High school: 4.0 GPA, lacrosse captain, art club, speech and debate…you name it. Got rejected from Michigan. Went to Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. Majored in Creative Advertising. Minor in Sociology. Left with a 3.85 GPA. Honors student. Dean's List. Studied abroad in Sydney.
I have some useful skills. The Creative Suite (Cloud?): Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Keynote (when my account team makes me). Social Media (says the millennial). Proficient in Spanish.
I love ripe avocados, snowboarding, Parks and Rec, my Portuguese water dog who hates swimming, Philly (go Birds), and napping. Love a good nap.
